Derksen Portable Buildings are built by Mennonite
Craftsmen from Kentucky. The buildings are delivered to one of our 4 sites, located at
7809 Hwy 51 N (Townsend Auto Mart), the intersection of Simmons Rd and Hwy 51 N (near the Shelby/Tipton County border) , the
intersection of Hwy 14 and Nelson (near Fastimes in Tipton County), or the newest location 815 Hwy 51 S in the heart
of Covington, TN (near Cobb Park). The buildings are open 24/7 for you to walk through. Prices are usually
posted on the inside of the building.
Sometimes we offer
used or older inventory discounts. Please call or come by Townsend Auto Mart to inquire about the used or old inventory.
Rent-to-own building purchases require a $100 deposit for 8' or 10' wide buildings and a $200 deposit for 12' wide buildings.
The first month's rent is due in addition to the deposit upon ordering. There is no credit check required, but a form
of ID and two personal references are. All building transactions are done at Townsend Auto Mart 7809 Hwy 51 N Millington,
TN.
Derksen offers pressure treated pine, painted, and
metal buildings. You may custom order a building, which usually take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to build. You may
choose shingle color, your paint color, request a stain and/or a metal roof verses a shingle roof all at no additional
charge. The Derksen factory use Porter Paints when they paint the buildings and will accomodate your custom
paint color choice, if you do not use on of their color choices.
Buildings
are delivered as is to your yard and are leveled upon delivery. We are not responsible for anything
that may obscure the delivery of your building, for example fences, trees, limbs, other buildings, utility lines, etc.
If there is anything in the way that may keep the building from being delivered to your yard, you are responsible for having
it free and clear before delivery. The buildings come with 2 to 4 6"x6" solid pressure treated runner boards
underneath them that the building sits on. If you would like your building to be set on concrete blocks, you are responsible
for providing the blocks. We recommend using solid cap blocks measuring about 16"x12"x4", which can be purchased
at most hardware stores.
